The Scripps Ranch Women’s Club (SRWC) is pleased to give back to our community and its residents. We are best known for our SRHS Senior Scholarship program, however, we donate annually to multiple programs and projects!
Our Community Giving is important to us!
Overview
The Scripps Ranch Women’s Club (SRWC) is probably best known for our annual scholarships awarded to senior women at SRHS to assist them in their transition to college. We also help our younger residents achieve their potential by awarding elementary schools with funds to support specific programs that encourage academic achievement.
We all know that STEM education can help our children develop strong analytic and observational skills. Even if the child does not become a STEM professional, engagement with these topics can foster a greater curiosity for the world and drive a passion for learning that can last a lifetime. And, of particular concern, is the number of girls who study and pursue STEM jobs is underrepresented in all STEM fields, other than health care.
STEM Initiative
The Club works with our Scripps Ranch elementary schools to identify and fund one or more programs that encourages curiosity and interest in STEM. This program can take any number of forms, e.g., a field trip, hands-on learning tools, robotics kits or something other defined by the school. Our funding can supplement existing STEM programs or be used to launch a new initiative.

SRWC will send the scholarship check to the student’s college or university business office to directly offset the cost of tuition and book fees. The scholarship will expire October 1, 2024. If the scholarship winner is not enrolled in a qualified educational institution by that date, the award will be forfeited.

For future business majors
In memory of the SRWC’s past president Kimbra Sellers, her husband established a $1000 scholarship for a senior female student who is planning to pursue a career in business. The scholarship is open to graduating students who are Scripps Ranch residents or attend SRHS. The award will be presented to the student who can best articulate how any part time work, school or volunteer experience helped her to develop applicable skills and knowledge, and allowed her to show personal initiative and drive.
You can complete the application electronically by selecting the button below. If you would like a hard copy Kimbra Sellers Scholarship Application, that can be found in the Forms section at the bottom of the About Us Page.
